5 success tips to help you “Save time” & “Stand out”


Whether you are attending a networking event or part of a business group here’s 5 great ways to save you time, have you standing out and creating some great networking habits for success!

Grow your network = Grow your biz!


“SAVE TIME.” By scheduling in your meetings/events and leaving extra time for connecting before and after the event. Learn who will be in attendance ahead of time, who you really want to meet, then reach out and book your “coffee chat” for before or after.    This will also confirm and guarantee attendance as they already have someone to connect with plus save you time going elsewhere for a “coffee chat.”

Work your CRM and schedule your follow ups.

 2 – STAND OUT  

“SAVE TIME” by inviting the people you know and are meeting each day to join you at your next business meeting or networking event. You will “STAND OUT” for offering them this opportunity and they will be so thankful for the introduction to the people you know.  It’s easy, strengthens relationships and such an effective way to increase referrals,

1 person X 1 meeting with 10 people = 10 introductions in 1 meeting.

Or 1 person x 10 meetings = 10 introductions, which method do you prefer for introducing a potential referral?


“SAVE TIME” by connecting on SOCIAL MEDIA  Blog, Business pageFacebookLinkedIn, check out their website.  Give a Shout Out to the organizers of the networking event or meeting you attended and give thanks to them for hosting!  Like, Share a post, Stand out!    I mean “START THE CAR”!   Who knows who KNOWS who, who goes where, what you have in common, start building your new relationships.  It’s a Win, Win!

Don’t forget to SHARE the events you are attending with your peers, yes one more way for you to stand out and develop a following.


“SAVE TIME” I mean who likes cold calls?   Take advantage of your growing warm network and stay connected to find ways that will mutually support each of you?   Like, know & trust are key components to opening the door to unlimited opportunities and referrals. Are you listening, understanding, following up and developing your relationship?  Keep a journal, use your CRM,  schedule it in… it’s part networking and owning a business, getting to know people and them getting to know YOU,  and “NO MORE COLD CALLS”. 


“SAVE TIME” by creating your success plan.

  • Plan to make the time to network and share and invite the people you know to your network group meetingsand
  • Stand out, be the “go to” person that people gravitate to look for, have fun and allow people to get to know you.
  • Plan to be accountable and schedule it in, if you belong to a group you need to show up early, prove yourself, be all in. If you say you are “going” to a networking event, you need to be there.  You don’t want to be the person that is a no-show when people are waiting to meet you.
  • Plan to participate and be conscious when you are meeting people. No phones, no texts, do make eye contact, do listen, do smile, do engage.   Learn what   products and services they are offering, it is a 2-way street and for this to work, it is your responsibility to help them, so take the lead and be the “GIVER”

Most importantly, PLAN to have fun! You are going to meet some amazing like-minded people just like you.  Smile and embrace the wonderful world of networking!
