5 Fall suggestions guaranteed to Beautify you and your style!

While fall is taking it’s time to arrive, our favourite stores are ready with all the latest fashion trends. But when it comes to Monday through Friday in the workplace, do you feel like you’re in a bit of a fashion rut?  Getting dressed can be a bit of a crap shoot these days but here are a few ideas to help make the transition from summer to fall a little easier.

  1. The key is to start with a handful of office wear staples – tailored trousers, skirts, structured jackets, dark denim jeans and flattering tops to take your office look to the next level. A bold plaid trench coat ups the style for your career game when paired with neutral separates.
  2. Don’t be afraid to mix seasons; mix and match your summer items with your fall items. When you mix and match garments, you grow your wardrobe exponentially. Mix prints with patterns; the more creative you become, the more choices you have. Hint – if mixing patterns & prints takes you too far outside of your fashion comfort zone, tone down the boldness with neutrals.
  3. Layering garments expands the mix & match capacity of your wardrobe – cardigans, vests & light weight jackets are amazing layering pieces.
  4. Accessorize, accessorize, and accessorize – the more the merrier! Jewellery, bags and of course, scarves!  Keep those same scarves you’ve had for years in the rotation but mix it up a little.
  5. And finally, fall shoes! Don’t just dip a toe in – jump in feet first and indulge in all the dazzling footwear; from luxe loafers to bold boots, your fall style will feel complete.

Building a solid foundation allows for endless options when transitioning from one season to the next and the great thing about foundational pieces is that they stay in style for seasons to come. What spring and summer work foundation did you build, and which pieces will you keep in rotation for fall?

One of the best things about a functional wardrobe is the ability to mix, match, and flip things around to make your favorite pieces feel brand new each time you wear them. If you are looking for more ways to give your fall wardrobe a breath of fresh air, you’ve come to the right place.
